全国人大发言人宣称，国家将用零容忍的态度对待贿选行为，严厉惩处贿选者。

上面的报道中，electoral fraud就是贿选，有时也译作选举舞弊，指illegal interference with the process of an election（非法干涉选举过程的行为）。

选举的时候，一般都会有一个electoral register/roll（选民登记簿），也可表达为voter roll。有right to vote（选举权）的人都会登记在册。到了election day（选举日），所有些voter（选民）都要在各自所在的electoral district（选区）cast his/her vote（投票）。
